The Authority to Forgive
Mark 2:1-12
Main Idea: Have faith in Jesus, who has the authority to forgive the sins that paralyse our relationship with Him.
- Faith that leads others to experience Jesus’ forgiveness (vv1-6)
- Barriers to believing in Jesus’ authority (vv7-8)
- The Son of Man has authority to forgive sins (vv9-12)
Application:
- Reach out to those who may be “paralysed” in their faith; bring them to Jesus through prayer or visitation.
- Confess your sins to God and a trusted spiritual friend, trust that Jesus has the authority to forgive your sin.
