The Shortest Way could be the Longest Distance (Exodus 13:17-22)

Main Point: God may take the longer path to fulfil His purposes, but He will be faithful to guide us.

1. God may take the longer path to shape and mould us
   1. The faster way is not necessarily the safest.
   2. It takes time to get “Egypt” out of us.
   3. A premature success may do more harm
   4. God wants spiritual formation not just salvation.
2. God will encourage us through His promises and presence
   1. God will keep His promises
   2. God assures us of His presence.
