Main Point: God works powerfully for His people but will not tolerate evil yet show mercy to the repentant.

   1. The command to ‘devote to destruction’
   2. The evil practices in the land (Deut 18:10-12; Deut 9:4-5)
   3. The patience of God in dealing with sin
